Teaching Model

In today’s class, we learned bout Teaching Models.
Teaching models prescribe tested steps and procedures to effectively generate desired outcomes.In general, models can be classified along a continuum from instructor-directed, to student-instructor negotiated, to student-directed Although there number of teaching models but there two widely used models are ASSURE and ADDIE. Both of this models invoved 5 steps as shown below.

Model ASSURE

Analyze learners
State objectives
Select instructional methods, media, and materials
Utilize media and materials
Require learner participation
Evaluate and revise

Model ASSURE

nalysis --> Design --> Development --> Implementation --> Evaluation


Although each and every steps in the models have their own importance but Analysis is the most important step.
In the analyze phase, the instructional problem is clarified, the goals and objectives are established, and the learning environment and learner characteristics are identified. This stage also will help providing back routes in case the model unable to achieve its objective.
